GSOC: Slow start haunts Seahawks

Hilton Head High girls soccer couldn’t overcome a sluggish start Friday, falling 3-0 to visiting Jefferson (Ga.).

The Dragons jumped out to a 3-0 lead, moving the ball well and playing a physical game.

The Seahawks adjusted in the second half and locked in on defense, as the back line of Julia Willey, Niki Farizy, Kaley McGuire, and Abbie Lainhart held the Dragons scoreless in the second half, but HHIHS couldn’t break through.
