GSOC: Lions storm past BA in second half

Holy Trinity girls soccer took control in the second half to claim a 5-1 win over visiting Beaufort Academy on Friday.

Margaret Hiers got the Eagles (0-2, 0-1) on the board in the first half, converting an assist from Lilly Melville to forge a 1-1 halftime tie, but the Lions (2-1, 1-0) dominated the second half.

Abby Carte scored a pair of goals to lead the way for the Lions, while Ella Cooler, Hannah Reedy, and Lydia Mahan each added a goal.

Goalkeeper Mary Clanton Bozard made six saves to preserve the win for Holy Trinity (2-1, 1-0).

Both teams are awaiting word on their next games, as SCISA has suspended athletics events until April 3.
