Bluffton softball rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and held on for a 6-5 win at Goose Creek on Friday.
The Bobcats broke open a tied game when Marissa Majorkiewicz’s two-run triple plated Regan Kelly and Alyssa Rose in the seventh inning, and Illa Hodges’ grounder scored Majorkiewicz with what proved to be a huge insurance run.
The Gators pulled within one, but center fielder Katie Ryan gunned down the potential tying run to preserve the lead. Ryan then hauled in a fly ball for the third out to seal the win.
Parker Ray went the distance in the circle for the Bobcats, striking out two and walking none. Isabella Spears and Rose each added triples at the plate for the Bobcats.
