HSBBB: HHP’s Faulkner, Bethesda’s Moore head all-region honors

Hilton Head Prep’s Jerry Faulkner claimed another region Coach of the Year award, and Bethesda Academy’s Robert Moore was named Player of the Year in SCISA Region 4 boys basketball. 

Faulkner earned the honor for the second straight year after leading the Dolphins to a second-place finish in the region standings behind Bethesda. 

HHP’s Tyrone Calloway and Stone McDonald made the All-Region first team along with Beaufort Academy’s Dawson Coleman, Hilton Head Christian Academy’s Floyd Hargrove, and Bethesda’s Zyere Edwards. 

Bethesda also had two second-team selections in Antjuan McKay and Donte Dorman, who were joined by BA’s Elijah Fess, and John Paul II’s Reco Anderson and Mark Knight. 

HHCA’s Jace Blackshear; Colleton Prep’s John Tomedolsky; JPII’s Jeremiah Young and Malone Kinard-Huisinger; HHP’s Luke Foley; BA’s Brandon Trapp and Sully Gay; and Thomas Heyward’s Zack Black received honorable mention.
