John Paul II’s Tkai DeVore was voted the region Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, and Hilton Head Christian Academy’s Kenny Conroy earned Coach of the Year honors in SCISA Region 4 girls basketball.
HHCA placed three players on the All-Region first team — Dior Shelton, Jasmine Campbell, and Brielle McCarthy — after winning their sixth consecutive region title and running their winning streak in region play to 40 games dating to Jan. 1, 2017. The HHCA trio was joined on the first team by Beaufort Academy’s Amelia Huebel and Mike’Ala Washington.
JPII seniors Abby Quinty and Jasmine Hamilton were named to the second team, along with Hilton Head Prep’s Ella Clark, HHCA’s Mary Yanker, and BA’s Emily Ann Hiers.
HHP’s Kierstin Clark and Haylee Hopman; BA’s Tahleea Heyward; JPII’s Katie Leigh Floyd; and Colleton Prep’s Langley Harter, Taylor Tomedolsky, Rachel Wright, and Heather Davis received honorable mention.
