Bluffton girls basketball star Tatyana Aiken was voted the Region 7-4A Player of the Year, and Lonnie Roberts earned Coach of the Year honors after leading the Bobcats to a perfect region record and a region title.
Aiken averaged 15.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 6.1 steals, and 2.6 blocks in the regular season while leading the Bobcats to a 20-3 overall record and a 6-0 region mark. The seventh-ranked Bobcats open the playoffs at home against Darlington on Tuesday.
Aiken is joined on the nine-player all-region team by teammates Tacoya Heyward and Samari Mitchell; Beaufort High’s Layla Warren and Sequoia Smalls; Hilton Head High’s Miley Ray and Janiya Ferebee; and Colleton County’s Omari Kirkland and Ashley Savage.
