VOTE NOW: Week 11 RBC Heritage Player of the Week nominees

In past seasons, we’ve confined the RBC Heritage Player of the Week voting to the regular season because, frankly, we haven’t always had enough worthy candidates in the postseason to fill out the ballot.

Not so this season, at least for the first round of the playoffs. With four local teams winning their opening matchups, and with seniors putting up big numbers in a couple of losing efforts, we figured we could extend the award for at least one more week.

The process remains the same. Cast your vote by 3 p.m. Thursday to have your say in who wins the fan vote, which is pooled with the other four votes from our panel of media members to determine the overall winner.

Here are the nominees:

The Heritage Classic Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization, enhances the quality of life and economic vitality of our region by hosting the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR golf tournament.

JP Peduzzi, HHCA — Caught eight passes for 163 yards and a TD, made two tackles, and was 2-for-2 on PATs in a 23-7 win over Greenwood Christian.

Tyrone Calloway, HHP — Senior wideout recorded his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with nine grabs for 105 yards and 2 TDs in a 47-21 loss at Florence Christian.

Gaston Moore, HHIHS — Senior QB went out with a bang, going 27-of-41 for 265 yards and 3 TDs and adding a rushing score in a 47-34 loss to Wilson.

JR Patterson, THA — Rushed for 105 yards and a TD on just six carries, set up another score with a 60-yard kickoff return, and made three tackles (one for loss) in a 50-6 win over Dillon Christian.

John Clark Hilton, THA — Rushed five times for 151 yards and two TDs and made three tackles (one for loss) in a 50-6 win over Dillon Christian.

JacQuez Frazier, WB — Racked up a team-high nine tackles on defense and rushed nine times for 55 yards in a 36-10 win at Philip Simmons.

Donovan Ling, MR — Rushed for 137 yards and two TDs on just nine carries in a 59-20 win over Swansea.

Jaylen Reeves, WB — Shifty QB rushed 19 times for 203 yards and two TDs in a 36-10 win at Philip Simmons.
