Hilton Head Christian Academy ran away with the team title at the 28-team Aynor Blue Jacket Invitational this weekend.
The Eagles posted the two best team scores of the weekend with rounds of 290 and 295 to finish at 9-over-par, 18 shots ahead of runner-up Lexington. Hilton Head High (305-311) tied for third, while May River (338-321) was 13th.
HHCA’s JD Patterson shot 6-under (69-69) to finish second overall, one shot behind Lexington’s Dillon Hite, while teammates Daniel Azallion (73-71) and Max Green (70-74) tied for fourth at even par.
May River’s Andrew Swanson (79-72) tied for 17th, and Hilton Head High’s Derek Bunce (75-79) and Nolan Hawkins (80-74) tied for 23rd.
