Beaufort High manufactured two runs in the sixth inning to break open a tied game and claim a 4-2 win over visiting May River on Thursday.
Jeffrey Smyth and Rhogue Wallace both scored on a double steal combined with a wild pitch with two outs in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie.
The rally made a winner of James Davenport, who pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Oliver Holmes, who allowed two runs and five hits over five frames.
Smyth had an RBI double and Christian Londono had an RBI triple for the Eagles. Cooper George and Joseph Tapscott each had two hits, and Josh Patterson and Josh Reddy each had a hit and an RBI for the Sharks.
Beaufort (15-3) travels to Thomas Heyward at 6 p.m. Friday. The Sharks (9-6) travel to Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 7 p.m. Friday.
