HS Baseball: DeMarzo, Seahawks Outslug Point Pleasant

Cole DeMarzo drove in five runs to lead Hilton Head High to a 15-10 win over visiting Point Pleasant (W.Va.) in a slugfest Thursday.

DeMarzo was 2-for-3 with a triple, a home run, and five RBIs, while Colin Gross was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, JJ Mlodzinski was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, and Daniel Keber was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Seahawks.

Starter John Watson was credited with the win, allowing five runs — all unearned — and four hits over 2 2/3 innings with four strikeouts. 

The Seahawks (12-5) open a Region 7-4A series at Bluffton at 7 p.m. Monday.
