An 11-run second inning propelled Beaufort High to a 16-4 win over Hilton Head High in Region 7-4A softball action Wednesday.
Lillian Bearden went 2-for-3 with two homers, three runs, and four RBIs to lead the offensive outburst for the Eagles. Madison Sanchez had a double and three RBIs, and Natalie Morrow drove in two runs.
Maliyah Hagan picked up the win, striking out two and allowing four unearned runs and three hits over five innings.
Reagan Marchant was 2-for-3 with an RBI and took the loss in the circle for the Seahawks.
Beaufort (4-8, 3-2) travels to Hilton Head (6-8, 0-5) for the series finale at 7 p.m. Friday.
