HS Soccer: Seahawks Blank Bobcats To Maintain Region Lead

Hilton Head High’s girls stayed in command of the Region 7-4A title race with a 2-0 win over visiting Bluffton on Tuesday. 

Kristin Fielding and Maddie Bennett each scored goals and Miya Poplin added an assist for the Seahawks, who overcame a strong effort from Bluffton goalie Stephanie Maldonado. Jana Tepic made six saves to preserve the Seahawks’ third straight shutout in region play.

HHIHS (4-3-1, 3-0) travels to Beaufort High at 7 p.m. Friday. Bluffton (6-5-1, 2-1) travels to Colleton County at 7 p.m. Friday.
