HS Baseball: Eagles Blank Bobcats To Maintain Region Lead

Beaufort High maintained its hold on first place in Region 7-4A with a 10-0 win at Bluffton on Wednesday.

Wes Graves struck out six over five scoreless innings for the win, allowing four hits, and Jeffrey Smyth gave up one hit in a scoreless sixth to finish the shutout.

Paul Winland was 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBIs, and two runs to lead the Eagles at the plate. Brendan Bowersox was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, Ethan Graham was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs, and Reed Reichel was 2-for-4. 

Joe DiCarlo had a pair of hits for the Bobcats.

Beaufort (13-1, 4-1) hosts Bluffton (5-6, 0-2) for the finale of the three-game series at 7 p.m. Friday.
