HS Lax: Beaufort Boys Surge To 1-Goal Win Over Bluffton

Beaufort High’s boys lacrosse team rallied for a thrilling 12-11 home win over Bluffton on Wednesday.

Ethan McKenzie racked up five goals and two assists and Connor Sackman added three goals and four assists to lead the Eagles. Sean Moran also had four goals and helped anchor Beaufort’s defense along with Logan Statler and Ben Straut.

The Bobcats led by 10-5 late in the third quarter, but Beaufort goalie Collin Durham allowed just one goal the rest of the way and notched seven saves in the fourth quarter to aid the comeback.

Ben Ramsey scored a team-high five goals for Bluffton, while Carlo Pulido had three goals and two assists to go with 12 ground balls. Evan Blatter added three goals, and Jackson Reese made 14 saves in goal for the Bobcats. 

Beaufort (3-5, 2-0) hosts Hilton Head High for a region match Monday. Bluffton (1-8, 0-3) travels to Spring Valley on Saturday.
