May River’s boys claimed bragging rights for the year with a 6-0 win at Bluffton on Saturday night.
Mikey Chappelear and Conner Golden each scored two goals, and Chris Hernandez and Joel Fleek added a goal apiece for the Sharks. May River’s defensive contained Bluffton’s dangerous attack and limited the Bobcats to two shots on goal, which Matthew Turner turned away to preserve the shutout.
May River (6-2-1) opens region play against visiting Battery Creek on Tuesday. Bluffton (3-2-0) travels to Porter-Gaud on Monday.
