Football: Hilton Head Sharks Hold On Vs. Hurricanes

The Hilton Head Sharks picked up a big Independent American Football League victory Saturday, beating the visiting Palmetto Hurricanes 24-18 at Hardeeville’s Richard Gray Sports Complex.

Fredrik Luma threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Antione Wilson Sr. to open the scoring, and Alexander Warren rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries, including a 35-yard TD run to seal the game.

Linebacker Bryon Smashum had nine tackles and safety Deavery Smith picked off two passes to lead the Sharks’ defense. 

The Sharks (2-1) travel to Hinesville, Ga., next Saturday for a divisional matchup against the Hinesville Hurricanes.
