Bluffton’s girls lacrosse team established itself as the area’s frontrunner with a 13-4 win at Hilton Head High on Wednesday.
The game was tied at 3 at halftime, and the Seahawks took a brief 4-3 lead before the Bobcats scored 10 unanswered goals to claim a convincing win.
Nagisa Reed scored a team-high four goals along with an assist and 10 draw controls to lead the Bobcats. Josefina Martinez had three goals and an assist, Sophie Chambella added three goals, and Leah Warner had two goals and two assists for Bluffton. Goalie Maile Paulmeier made five saves, caused four turnovers, and scooped six ground balls.
Emma Grace Walters, Victoria Glover and Anna Ferrebee each scored a goal for the Seahawks, while Alexis Locker was credited with an assist.
Bluffton (2-0) hosts Richmond Hill (Ga.) on Monday. Hilton Head High (2-1) travels to Wando on March 11.
