HS Lax: Seahawk Girls Hang On To Win Opener

Hilton Head High’s girls lacrosse team held on for an 11-10 win over visiting Savannah Christian in the Seahawks’ season-opener Friday. 

After going to halftime tied, the Seahawks opened up an 11-6 lead, then held off a late charge from the Raiders. 

Emma Grace Walters led the HHIHS attack with four goals, while Alexis Locker and Anna Ferrebee each added three goals and an assist. Lily Joy Tothero scored once and added two assists, and goalie Marlee Brummer recorded eight saves to preserve the victory.
