May River’s boys opened their season with a 2-0 win over Stall in the opening game of the Charleston Soccer Shootout on Friday.
Nahuel Mieres scored in the seventh minute, and Adrian Villalon added a goal off a Nick Lewis assist in the 60th minute to complement the Sharks’ dominant defensive effort. Keeper Matthew Turner needed to make only one save to preserve the clean sheet.
May River (1-0-0) faces Mauldin at noon Saturday.
