Another week of the high school basketball season is in the books, and we saw a number of award-worthy performances.
Fan voting for the RBC Heritage Girls Basketball Player of the Week will be open through 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Here are the nominees:
- Tatyana Aiken, BLHS: 11 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 4.0 blocks in two games (1-1)
- Tkai DeVore, JPII: Averaged 18 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 5.6 steals in five games (3-2), including double-doubles in wins vs. Palmetto Christian and King’s Academy
- Amelia Huebel, BA: Averaged 12.5 points in two games (2-0)
- Miley Ray, HHIHS: Despite playing limited minutes due to shin splints, averaged 8.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in three games (2-1), including a career-high 20 points in win vs. South Effingham
- Darien Watkins, BHS: Averaged 15.3 points in three games (2-1), including game-high 21 vs. South Effingham
