Beaufort High swept rival Battery Creek on the basketball court Friday.
Beaufort’s boys won 58-42 as Jamaad Rivers led a balanced effort with 18 points. Warren Dickens added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles, while Trae Heyward had eight points, five rebounds, and four assists, and Josh Aiken contributed seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
The Eagles won the girls game 42-30. Brittany Linton led Beaufort with 13 points, while Layla Warren added 11, and Darien Watkins had nine.
Beaufort plays at South Effingham on Tuesday. Battery Creek plays at Colleton County on Tuesday.
