May River fired an impressive 9-hole score of 169 to claim a 16-shot victory in a four-team girls golf match Thursday at Pinecrest Golf Club.
Sydney Bowes shot even-par 36 to lead the Sharks and claim medalist honors, edging Hilton Head High’s Emma Hayward by three strokes. Hannah Harris was third with a 40, helping May River to the wide margin of victory over the Seahawks (185).
The same four teams tee it up Tuesday at Eagle’s Pointe.
