HS Soccer: Sharks, Seahawks Lead Local Contingent On All-State Teams

Eight area players were named to the S.C. High School Soccer Coaches’ Association’s All-State Teams released Wednesday.

Hilton Head High’s girls, who will face Eastside in the Class 4A state championship match at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Irmo High School, had three players named to the Class 4A girls’ squad – midfielders Carson Schoeppe, Bailey Headlee, and Miya Poplin.

May River landed five players on the Class 3A boys’ team – junior midfielder Mikey Chappelear, sophomore forward Joel Fleek, sophomore midfielder Connor Golden, sophomore defender AJ Kestler, and junior defender Nick Lewis.

Bluffton midfielder Sha’Nya Stephens was named to the Class 3A girls’ team.
