HS Golf: Seahawks, Eagles Qualify For 4A State Meet

Beaufort High finished fourth and Hilton Head High finished fifth at the Class 4A Lower State boys golf qualifier, advancing both teams to next week’s state championship.

The Eagles shot 312 to finish 12 shots behind champion Myrtle Beach. Hartsville (302) was second, followed by AC Flora (303), Beaufort (312), and Hilton Head (317).

Hilton Head’s Charlie Farrell and Beaufort’s Tommy Holloway tied for fourth overall at 2-over-par 74. Jerry Bruns (76), Max Kase (81), Riley Kase (81), and Jack Sumner (86) rounded out the lineup for the Eagles. Derek Bunce (79), Harrison Mancill (81), Tyler Kriney (83), and Nolan Hawkins (84) completed the scoring for the Seahawks.

The Class 4A state championship is Monday and Tuesday at Hackler Golf Course in Conway.
