Beaufort High’s boys won a three-set match and a second-set tiebreaker to swing things in their favor for a 4-2 win over James Island on Monday.
Mitchell Russell won in three sets at No. 2 singles and Merritt Patterson won a tight second-set tiebreaker at No. 5 singles to lift the Eagles.
Beaufort (11-4) travels to Cane Bay for a region match at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
