HS Baseball: Bobcats Blank Dolphins In Series Opener

Bluffton kept its slim region title hopes alive with a 14-0 win over Battery Creek on Monday.

Noah Simonsen struck out seven and allowed one hit and two walks in a five-inning complete game.

Joe DiCarlo went 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs, and Anthony Storzieri was 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead the Bobcats at the plate. Sean Sutay was 2-for-3 with two runs, Cody Eldridge was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Lukas Pulice drove in two runs.

The Bobcats (14-6, 8-2) need to win the final two games of the series and May River to lose the final two games of its series against Wade Hampton to win the region crown.
