May River boys’ lacrosse posted the first shutout in program history Tuesday, beating rival Bluffton 9-0 for their eighth straight win.
Sean Morris needed only four saves to preserve the shutout for the Sharks, who were dominant in the midfield to control possession and might have won by a much larger margin if not for Bluffton goalie Owen Latchford. Latchford saved 28 of the Sharks’ 36 shots on goal.
Jon Boan had three goals and two assists, Luke Boan and Braydon Sokolowski each added two goals and two assists, and Hudson Kramer and Seth Eaton added a goal apiece. Harrison Roger scooped 13 ground balls for the Sharks.
The Sharks (9-2) travels to Richmond Hill at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The Bobcats (2-9) hosts James Island at noon Friday.
