Bluffton baseball opened its three-game region series against Wade Hampton with an 11-2 road win Monday.
Griffin Yeager hit a two-run homer, Sean Sutay and Noah Simonsen each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Joe DiCarlo and Hunter Eldridge each drove in two runs to lead the Bobcats at the plate.
Simonsen struck out five and allowed two runs (one earned) and six hits over five innings to earn the win, and Mason Peeples struck out three in two scoreless frames of relief.
Bluffton (7-4, 5-2) hosts the Red Devils for the second game of the series at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
