Beaufort High baseball rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to claim a 7-5 road win over May River on Monday.
Josh Reddy’s two-run single in a four-run fourth inning helped the Sharks take a 5-2 lead, but Jeffrey Smyth tied it with an RBI single and the go-ahead runs scored on a two-out error in the big sixth frame for the Eagles.
Smyth was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Wade Olivarri was 2-for-4 to lead the Eagles.
Cooper George had two hits and Reddy and Andrew Perez each had a hit and two RBIs for the Sharks.
Drew Luckey earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
George was tagged with the loss in relief.
Beaufort (7-2) travels to Colleton County for a Region 8-4A game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. May River (10-3) hosts Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
