HS Soccer: Seahawk Girls Shut Out Visitors From Illinois

Hilton Head High girls’ soccer bounced back from Saturday’s tough loss to shutout visiting Wheaton North (Ill.) 3-0 on Monday.

The Seahawks didn’t waste any time getting on the board, as Abbie Lainhart scored in the first minute off an assist from Bailey Headlee. Hannah Stanhope added the final two goals for Hilton Head with Headlee and Miya Poplin providing assists.

Jamie Lavine made four saves to preserve the shutout.

The Seahawks (10-2, 5-0) return to region play Tuesday, hosting Cane Bay at 7 p.m.
