HS Baseball: Blackshire, Handy Lead HHCA Past JPII

John Blackshire tossed a two-hit shutout and Connor Handy drove in six runs to lead Hilton Head Christian Academy baseball to a 10-0 win at John Paul II on Friday.

Blackshire struck out seven and walked four in a six-inning complete game, allowing only two singles.

Handy went 3-for-3 with three doubles and six RBIs to power the Eagles’ offense, and Daniel Harrington added a hit and two RBIs.

Mark Tigges and Colin Doering had hits for the Golden Warriors.

HHCA (8-0, 2-0) hosts Coastal Homeschool at 5 p.m. Monday. JPII (3-4, 2-2) hosts St. John’s Christian for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.
