Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls got off to a quick start and eased to a 49-23 win over Marlboro Academy in the first round of the SCISA Class 2A state tournament Friday in Columbia.
The Eagles raced to a 27-7 halftime lead en route to the easy victory. Jossie Frazier scored 12 points, Dior Shelton added 11, and Brielle McCarthy and Cortney Gray had 10 apiece to pace the Eagles.
HHCA (20-1) will face Trinity-Byrnes at 8 p.m. Monday at Sumter Civic Center.
