Beaufort Academy’s girls cruised to a 70-47 win over St. John’s Christian in the opening round of the SCISA Class 1A state tournament Friday in Charleston.
Amelia Huebel poured in 24 points and Karolina Struharova added 21 to lead the Eagles. Kendall Duncan chipped in 11 points.
BA (14-7) will face the Richard Winn-Faith Christian winner at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Wilson Hall in Sumter.
