HSBB: Seahawk Boys Beat Beaufort To Clinch Playoff Spot

Hilton Head High’s boys clinched a playoff spot with a 58-42 win at Beaufort High on Thursday.

The Seahawks got off to a sluggish start and trailed the Eagles 10-9 after one quarter before opening up a 26-23 halftime lead and pulling away in the second half.

Chris Washington scored 20 points, Trevor Wright added 19, and Davis Molloy had 12 to lead Hilton Head. Daijion Galloway scored 13 to lead Beaufort (2-20, 0-10).

The Seahawks (10-12, 4-6) will be the No. 4 seed from Region 8-4A and travel to top-ranked Wilson to open the Class 4A playoffs on Wednesday.
