Jermaine Patterson scored 23 points to help the Bluffton boys basketball team hold off Beaufort High for a 48-45 win Tuesday.
The Eagles rallied from a halftime deficit to take the lead midway through the fourth quarter, but Patterson led the Bobcats down the stretch.
Ethan Leana scored 18 points, Cory Witter collected eight points and 12 rebounds, Brandon Smalls grabbed 10 boards, and Trae Heyward had eight points and eight assists for Beaufort.
Both teams are back in action Friday, as the Bobcats (1-0) host Hilton Head High while the Eagles (1-2) travel to Whale Branch.
