Seminars Set For Prospective College Athletes

The Beaufort County School District will hold two free college recruiting seminars for prospective collegiate student-athletes in the next two weeks.

The first “Student-Athlete & College Recruiting” seminar will take place at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the small auditorium at Beaufort High School with a second session at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the Bluffton High School auditorium.

The sessions, presented by Dynamite Sports, are open to all student-athletes in grades 7-12 and their parents. Some of the topics covered will include tips for getting an athletic scholarship, what it takes to be a college athlete today, when the recruiting process starts, and whether smaller colleges have money for athletes?
