The Hilton Head Island High School girls tennis team took round one of its two-part showdown with Beaufort High School for the Region 8-4A title.
The Seahawks won 4-2 at Chaplin Park Tennis Center on Thursday in a matchup of undefeated teams. The rematch is scheduled for Oct. 10 at Beaufort High.
HHIHS (5-0, 3-0 region) plays in the Bishop England Tournament today through Sunday. Beaufort (5-1, 2-1) hosts Colleton Prep on Thursday.
