HS GSOC: HHCA starts title defense with tough road win

Hilton Head Christian Academy girls soccer opened its SCISA 2A title defense with a 5-3 win at Ashley Hall on Tuesday in Charleston.

Fresh off leading the Eagles to a fourth consecutive girls basketball state title, Abby Peduzzi posted a hat trick in her soccer season debut, and Bless Hurtado added a goal and an assist for HHCA. Addie Lentz also tallied a goal, and Jackie Lowry and Macy Langhals each had an assist.

Reese Clark made eight saves behind a solid defensive effort to preserve the two-goal lead for the Eagles.
