HSGBB: HHCA pulls away from Raiders after halftime

Hilton Head Christian Academy girls basketball cruised to another win over a quality Georgia opponent Saturday, beating visiting Savannah Christian Prep 54-33 in a non-region matchup.

The Eagles opened up a 10-point advantage after the first quarter and maintained it through halftime, going to the break up 29-19. HHCA doubled the margin in the third quarter and rolled to a 21-point win. 

Abby Peduzzi had another big game inside for HHCA with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals, and Tamya Hutchinson added nine points, eight boards, and three assists. Skylar Smith contributed eight points and five rebounds, and Mackenzie Buchter had seven points and 13 boards for the Eagles.

HHCA (18-2, 10-0) travels to John Paul II on Tuesday.
