Hilton Head High boys basketball rebounded Tuesday with an impressive win at the Seahawk Holiday Classic, rallying past Martinsburg (WV) 56-48 in the consolation bracket.

Karyce Campbell returned to the Seahawk lineup and made an immediate impact, scoring six points in the opening period as the Bulldogs took an early 13-8 lead. But Alex Smith delivered a nine-point second quarter to trim the deficit to 25-21 before the Seahawks seized control in the third behind an eight-point frame from Jourdin Nelson-Davis.
Hilton Head kept its strong intensity all the way to the finish line, grabbing a 38-37 lead before cashing in at the free throw line with an 18-11 run to close out the comeback win.
Smith dazzled on both ends for the Seahawks, pouring in 22 points to lead all scorers. Campbell put up 14 points after leaving Monday’s game with an injury, and Nelson-Davis added 10 points.
Hilton Head High (5-4, 2-0) will play for fifth place on Wednesday against Loganville (GA).
