HSGBB: HHCA hammers Class 5A Chapin to earn tourney split

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls bounced back quickly in the Hoffman and Hoffman Holiday Tournament on Tuesday, rolling to a 64-26 win over Chapin at Heathwood Hall. 

The Eagles surged to an early 21-7 lead in the first quarter and cruised to an impressive victory over the SCHSL Class 5A Eagles.

Abby Peduzzi led a balanced offensive attack, scoring 15 points while newcomer Tamya Hutchinson racked up 12. Devon Yarde tallied nine points, and both Skylar Smith and Jaida Grayson added eight apiece. 

Hilton Head Christian (2-1) travels to Savannah Christian on Dec. 2.
