Hilton Head Prep volleyball captured the gold bracket championship, and Ashley Wilmot and Anna Scott earned all-tournament team honors Saturday at the Baron Bash at Wilson Hall in Sumter.
The Dolphins went 3-1 in pool play, sweeping The King’s Academy, Pinewood Prep, and Branchville and splitting two sets with Sumter High.
That put HHP in the gold bracket championship, where they downed Pee Dee Academy 25-16, 21-25, 15-9 to claim the title. Scott and Haylee Hopman each had eight kills in the title match.
It was a big day for Wilmot, who collected her 1,000th career dig in the first match of the day and finished with 35 kills and 30 digs in five games to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. Scott also earned a spot on the list with 25 kills and nine aces.
The Dolphins (18-6-3, 3-4) resume region play at home against Colleton Prep on Tuesday.
