HSFB: Blackshear accounts for 5 TDs, HHCA hammers Blazers

Hilton Head Christian Academy kept the good times rolling on its new campus Friday, routing Bethesda Academy 41-8 behind five Jace Blackshear touchdowns.

The first score of the night was nearly a carbon copy of last week, as the senior quarterback left the defense in the dust for a 65-yard run. Blackshear then hooked up with Isaiah Anderson for a 9-yard touchdown pass before taking another in himself from three yards out to extend the lead to 20-0.

Blackshear added two more scores through the air, including a 55-yard strike to Riley Shinn and a 70-yard toss to Joseph Robinson. Jackson Lanier capped off the Eagle scoring with a 17-yard burst to the end zone before the Blazers added their only points on a two-yard rushing touchdown in the second half.

Hilton Head Christian (7-0, 2-0) faces John Paul II on the road Thursday in a key region duel.
