HSVB: Seahawks maintain perfect region record with sweep of Cougars

Hilton Head High volleyball remained perfect in region play Monday, sweeping Colleton County at home in three sets.

The Seahawks rolled past the Cougars from start to finish, putting together an impressive string of 25-7, 25-13, and 25-6 victories to complete the sweep. 

Ady O’ Grady was phenomenal, putting up 16 kills in the three-set win. Makenna Mason excelled at setter, earning 26 assists and five kills. Leah Jackson added five kills of her own, and Olivia Shamlou dominated at the service line with three aces.

Carlie Erwin tallied two kills for Colleton County, and Jordan Slocum knocked in two aces. Bailey Cox was terrific on defense, leading all players in the match with 10 digs.

Hilton Head (17-3-1, 7-0) travels to Georgia on Wednesday to take on Savannah Christian.

Colleton County (2-3, 1-3) faces Beaufort High on the road Wednesday.
