Hilton Head Prep volleyball swept to an impressive non-region win Monday, beating visiting Beaufort High 3-0.
The Dolphins pulled out tough wins in the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-19, before cruising to a 25-12 victory in the third set to finish the sweep.
Ashley Wilmot led a balanced HHP attack with six kills and added 10 digs and three aces in a strong all-around performance, while Gracie Palumbo-Alkire added five kills and a block and Anna Scott had four kills and a block. Haylee Hopman added 10 more digs to her program-record career total, while Ella Clark dished out 11 assists and Gabby Bettez added nine.
Beaufort’s Hayden Greenwalt had three kills, and Maelyn Toale picked up a team-high six digs.
HHP (8-2) is back in action at Beaufort Academy on Tuesday. Beaufort (0-4) returns to region play at home against James Island on Tuesday.
