HS GSOC: Panthers hold off Dolphins, snap 14-game win streak

Hilton Head Prep girls soccer lost a physical matchup with fellow SCISA 3A power Pinewood Prep on the road Thursday, falling 4-3 to split the season series with the Panthers. 

HHP struck first on a direct kick by Shania Diaz from outside the 18, but Pinewood responded with four consecutive goals to take control.

The Dolphins bounced back in the last 10 minutes with two quick scores from Sadie Callen and Ansleigh Crenshaw to pull within one but ran out of time for the equalizer, snapping their 14-game winning streak.

Callen, Crenshaw, and Diaz each had an assist, as well.

The Dolphins (14-2, 5-0) now await their seeding for the SCISA 3A state tournament beginning next week.
