Battery Creek baseball let a four-run lead slip away in a 9-8 loss at Wade Hampton on Thursday.
The Dolphins started off hot at the plate, scoring twice in the first and three times in the second for a 5-2 lead. They tacked on two more in the fourth to make it 7-3, but the Red Devils rallied for six runs in the fourth to take the lead and kept Creek at bay.

Hunter Hollingsworth went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, Lukas Kinsey was 2-for-4, and Luke Sanders added a hit and two RBIs for the Dolphins.
Hollingsworth and Riley Doray combined for 10 strikeouts for Creek, but they were hurt by eight walks and three Dolphin errors.
Battery Creek (3-4) resumes region play Tuesday at Hanahan.
