Bluffton’s boys lacrosse season came to an end Wednesday with a heartbreaking 10-9 overtime loss at Calvary Day in Savannah.
The Bobcats had a tough time finding an offensive rhythm early and trailed 4-2 at halftime, but they broke out for five goals in the third period to surge even at 7 going to the fourth.
Each team scored twice in the final period of regulation, sending the match to overtime, but the Cavaliers found the golden goal to earn a hard-fought win.
Ben Ramsey had a monster night for the Bobcats with six goals and an assist along with five groundballs. Fellow senior Carlo Pulido went out in style, scooping eight groundballs and dishing out four assists while scoring a goal of his own, and senior Chase Day added a goal, two assists, two groundballs and a takeaway.
Jackson Reese kept the Bobcats in it all night with 15 saves.
Bluffton finishes with a 2-10 overall mark and a 2-8 record in Region 7-4A.
