May River boys soccer rallied after a sluggish start to beat visiting Beaufort High 4-1 in a Region 7-4A matchup Tuesday in The Tank.
The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 10 minutes in, but the Sharks quickly found the equalizer and didn’t let up the rest of the night.
May River’s Renty Kitty evened the score by converting a cross in the 27th minute, and it remained level at 1 through halftime. Colton Beine added to his team-leading goal total by finishing off a KJ Pierre assist in the 53rd minute and added another just a few minutes later with an assist from Chris Hernandez.
Pierre capped the scoring by finishing a Kitty assist for the final 4-1 margin.
Brayden Garcia made three saves in goal for the Sharks (6-2, 3-2) who travel to James Island on Tuesday for a key region match.
Beaufort (3-6, 1-4) travel to Bluffton on Friday.
