Hilton Head High baseball erupted for a 10-run fourth inning Friday, cruising to a 13-2 run-rule victory over visiting Phillip Simmons in five innings.
Tate Miller led the standout effort from the leadoff spot, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.
Kyle Markowitz tossed three strong two-hit frames along with four strikeouts to earn the win, and Miller finished it off with a pair of strikeouts in the fifth.
Juju Mlodzinski went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs while throwing a scoreless fourth inning on the mound.
Hilton Head (8-6, 4-2) gets back into region play Monday with a key home game against Beaufort High.
